Cierra Scott is an Education and Outreach Manager with Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP). She received her Master of Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University and an additional Master of Science in Literacy Education from Radford University. At the VLP office, Cierra supports instructional design, instructional coaching, and instructional content creation to help schools implement the newly adopted VA Literacy Act (VLA). Her education and outreach interests include data literacy and secondary reading intervention, with a focus on students who are part of historically marginalized demographic groups. Cierra has also spent time as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, an elementary school Title I reading teacher, and a Secondary Reading Intervention Specialist.
