Michele Burke, M.Ed. is an Education and Outreach Specialist at Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP). She received her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Language and Literacy. At the VLP office, she is responsible for outreach to educators and administrators across the commonwealth. She provides support with screener administration and planning data-informed reading intervention state-wide. Michele is a part of the team to develop and pilot the new state-supported literacy screener. Her interest is in connecting with educators and making Reading Research more accessible and useful to classroom teachers. Michele has also spent time as a reading specialist, admissions consultant, adjunct professor, and classroom teacher.
