Maggie Huffer is an Education and Outreach Manager at the Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP). She attended James Madison University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree to become an elementary teacher. She then took a path toward earning a Master of Science in Special Education from Old Dominion University. In her position at VLP, Maggie works with colleagues to write, create, and deliver professional development to professionals throughout Virginia. Maggie's interests include working with teachers and specialists in literacy best practices, coteaching, collaborating with schools and divisions to support and refine literacy instruction, and reading the latest research in the field of reading education to support ALL students. Previous positions Maggie has held have included division-level literacy coach, 2nd grade teacher, and elementary and middle school special education teacher.
