Laura Jo Darcy

Education and Outreach Director

Laura Jo Darcy, M.Ed. is an Education and Outreach Director at the Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP). She is the lead project coordinator for a reading intervention replication study and contributes to professional development efforts with the VLP team. Laura Jo received her M.Ed. and is currently working on an Ed.D. from the University of Virginia. She has 20 years of experience in public education as a special educator, first grade teacher, reading specialist, reading coach, and instructional leader. Her research interests are reading instruction and intervention for students with reading difficulties, spelling development, and teacher feedback.
