Laura C. Giessler

Laura Giessler, Ed.S., is an Education and Outreach Specialist at Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP). Laura received her degrees from UVA (Ed.S.), UC-Berkeley (M.A.), and Duke University (B.A.). At VLP, Laura provides support for teachers and administrators across the commonwealth in implementing Virginia’s literacy screeners; examining data; and accessing evidence-based literacy instruction. Prior to VLP, Laura spent time as a reading specialist, coach, and classroom teacher in Virginia, Boston, and California. She has a passion for children’s literature.
