Hayley Corey works with the Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP) initiative as an Education and Outreach Specialist. She is passionate about the science of reading and ensuring all students are supplied with the literacy skills essential to lifelong learning and success. Hayley supports the VLP team in development of the new state-wide language and literacy screener by providing teacher support, professional outreach, and development opportunities to school divisions across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prior to beginning her work with CASTL, Hayley was a classroom teacher and reading specialist/coach, working with students in grades K-8 in northern Virginia. She received her reading specialist certification from the University of Virginia in 2019.
