Beth S. Williams, Ed.D. is the Education and Outreach Director with Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia. A graduate of The College of William and Mary, George Mason University, and the University of Virginia, she was an elementary school classroom teacher, a Head Start teacher, a reading interventionist, and an adjunct instructor at UVA. In addition to leading the outreach and division engagement team at VLP, she collaborates with the professional development and literacy screener pilot teams. Beth’s favorite topic is early literacy, specifically empowering teachers and administrators to make sound instructional decisions within the context of their schools.
